The Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari has been on life support since June 6 at a hospital in West End, London. The governor made the claim in a personally signed statement issued on Wednesday.                         According to Mr. Fayose, the President needs prayers to surmount his health challenges and called on him to resign from office to attend to his health. He also called on the Presidency to be honest about President Buhari's health status, saying it has been handled with a lot of opacity.                         Gov. The people of Taraba state were thrown into mourning  this morning as former Taraba state governor Danbaba Suntai dies just two day to his 56th birthday. He was said to have died in London where he was undergoing rehabilitation from the injuries he sustained from the 2012 plane crash that kept him in a very terrible state and truncated his tenure as the governor of Taraba state. Governor Danbaba is survived by his wife, children and grand children.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has written an open letter to the leader of the Indeginous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, asking him to drop his vein sense of Emperorism in the struggle for Biafra. In the letter signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye, the party condemned him for his recent threat that there would be no election in the South East, starting with Anambra whose governorship election is slated in November, if FG does not agree on a referendum for Biafra.    Some men of the Nigerian Police Force have been accused of killing Benjamin Wankaa, an event MC and a 300 level Mineral Resources student of Kaduna Polytechnic. According to reports, on Sunday, June 25th, Wankaa popularly known as MC Cedar, and four other occupants including his sister, cousin and friend were stopped by a team of policemen on their way home from a night party, which he anchored.  They identified themselves as a student of the Kaduna Polytechnic, by producing the school ID card. However, four of them were whisked away in a patrol van, leaving behind Benjamin with another patrol team. While still in custody, the police officers informed them that Benjamin escaped from them. The next day, his body was found on the highway with broken hands and legs, an indication that he was probably tortured. The governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari has in an interview recently said that the dream of Biafra can never become a reality. Masari, who described the agitations as an expression freedom, said it is just like the time when Boko Haram wanted to declare sovereignty, and Oodua People’s Congress were making different agitations. The singer was arrested and released on bond following accusation that he was involved in credit card fraud. A report in New Miami Times said the police found Seven fake credit cards in the singer’s pockets.   The police in Imo State yesterday confronted a six man dear-devil armed robbery gang in a gun duel that lasted for over a half hour in the Orlu Local Government Area of the state. While four out of the six hoodlums escaped, the Police officers killed one and arrested the only female criminal among the gang . According to an eyewitness, the incident happened at the 7up depot in the Orlu town at noon. When Punch correspondent visited the Orlu police Area command office in Orlu town , the lifeless body of the killed robber and his female accomplice were seen, as people gathered to take a look at them. Confirming the incident, the state Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, told Punch correspondent that an alarm was raised when the gunmen invaded the 7up depot around noon which prompted police response. Dunu is a pharmacist and the owner of Maydon Pharmaceutical Company, Ilupeju, Lagos. He had barely left his office in the evening of 14 February, the lovers day, when he was blocked by a vehicle. Before he knew it, Evans’ gun-wielding men had stepped out of the vehicle and bundled the pharmacist into their vehicle and sped off to No 21, Prophet Asaye Close, New Igando, a Lagos suburb where he was kept for three months. Evans subsequently demanded the payment of one million euro as ransom. The Ikeja, Lagos residence of former Chief of General Staff, retired Lt. General Oladipo Diya, has been gutted by fire. A thick smoke was seen bellowing from the residence being guarded by military men. Fire fighters battled for hours to put out the fire. The exact cause of the fire was not immediately known. It was also not clear if the retired general was in the house at the time of the incident or if there was any casualty.
