Google CEO Sundar Pichai received nearly $199.7 million in compensation last year, double the amount he made in 2015, according to a filing Friday from Google’s parent company, Alphabet( GOOGL , Tech30). Pichai’s base pay was a mere $650,000. On top of that, he received a stock award for $198.7 million. The company’s compensation committee attributed the lavish pay to Pichai’s promotion to CEO and “numerous successful product launches.” Pichai, a longtime Google executive, took over as CEO as part of a corporate restructuring in 2015. The Police in Kano state have arrested the former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido. According to reports, Lamido, who was governor from 2007 to 2011, was arrested for allegedly inciting his supporters to stop the conduct of local government elections being organised by the current governor, Muhammad Badaru. Lamido was arrested this morning at his home in Sharada and was taken to the Zone one command of the state police were he is still being detained and interrogated. The council elections are slated for July 1st.

Kanu’s lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor and the three sureties were at the high court registry earlier in the day to sign the necessary bail documents. However, in line with an order of the Judge, the IPOB leader was brought back to the court from Kuje prison to sign and undertaken that he would be available to answer to the five-count charge the Federal Government entered against him. Bryant says that Childress admitted to seeing R. Kelly prior to their marriage, but convinced him that their relationship was over. The court docs say that Bryant and Childress, who have been married since July 2012, lived together happily as husband and wife until Kellz came back around in October of that year. Over the next five years, Childress and Kelly would have multiple meet-ups in Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida and other states. Africa Movie Academy To Hold Intensive Training For Youths Interested In Filmmaking In Owerri Imo State Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA )mother company, the Africa Film Academy (AFA), is partnering the government of Imo State to train youths from the Eastern Nigerian state who desire a career in filmmaking. AFA said in a statement on Wednesday that the training which will be intensive, is scheduled to run from April 25 to May 10, 2017 in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
