AY Comedian ‘s Second Movie, ‘ A Trip To Jamaica ‘ that is currently showing in Cinemas nationwide has already raked in 80 Million Naira, surpassing every other Nollywood movies that had hit the cinemas in 2016. The movie also set a good tone for itself in its first week in the cinemas, by making 61 Million Naira, more than Will Smith’s Hollywood’s ‘Suicide Squad’ record of 40 Million Naira in Nigeria Cinemas. There was a serious fire incident at the Library Complex, Naraguta Campus, University of Jos on Saturday 8th October. It affected the Main Library in the Complex, the Faculty of Social Sciences and some Departments in the Faculty of Management Sciences. Registrar, Monday M. Danjem has now issued a statement announcing that Senate of the University of Jos has approved the resumption of the postponed First Semester Examinations for the 2015/2016 Session. "All Students whose Faculties were affected by the fire incident are advised to liaise with their respective Heads of Department who will direct them appropriately on the Halls where they are expected to write their Examinations." The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Tuesday,  arraigned one Wahab Olawale Amoo and his company, Wahab Amoo for allegedly Defrauding bank to the tune of Fifty Million Naira (N50, 000, 000. 00).  The accused was arraigned alongside his company, Wahab Amoo and Sons Nigeria Limited before Justice Adedayo Akintoye of the Lagos State High Court, sitting in Igbosere on four-count charge bordering on Conspiracy, Forgery and Obtaining by False Pretence to the tune of Fifty Million Naira (N50, 000, 000. 00). The accused person allegedly conspired with his company, the 2nd accused person, to defraud the complainant Fidelity Bank Plc of the sum of Fifty Million Naira (N50, 000, 000. 00) only by using forged documents to secure a loan facility through a property which was under caveat at the Land Registry, Lagos State. The Minister of justice and attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, Tuesday, said the raids carried out by the Department of State Service on residences of senior judges were routine investigations, and were legitimate. Mr. Malami, while addressing journalists in Abuja, said the government had resolved to fight corruption, and would not be deterred by class or reputation of suspects. “Once crimes and criminality are concerned, nobody is an exception. NAF Airstrikes Boko Haram Terrorists In Sambisa Forest (VIDEO)

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in past one week, has successfully struck a number of Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) locations, including their logistics bases, within the Sambisa Forest. NAF disclosed this in a statement released early Tuesday. It said; “The air interdiction missions were conducted day and night using a combination of combat platforms comprising F-7Ni fighter aircraft, Alpha Jets and Mi-24V helicopter gunship. “The latest air strikes against the BHTs are fallouts of OPERATION FOREST STORM launched by the NAF on 2 October 2016 to further degrade the capability of the BHT elements within the Sambisa general area in order to create the enabling environment for own ground forces to continue their operation. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday described the governors as the “greatest obstacles” hindering growth local governments in the country. Obasanjo who spoke at theInternational Conference on Politics, Security and Development held at Babcock University, Ilisan, accused state governors of stealing council funds under the pretext that they have done something for the councils or on their behalf. According to him,  as soon as the Local Government Allocations were released from the Federal allocation, the government simply deduct from the source, whatever amount they claimed were spent on behalf of the Local Governments. Gunmen Abduct Romanian Engineer In Niger Delta

Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a Romanian engineer in Nigeria’s oil-producing Niger Delta, police said on Tuesday. According to Police, the foreigner was working for Dextron Nigeria Ltd, a construction firm. The police said they have launched a search for the man in the area of Owa Oyibo, where he was abducted late on Monday, a spokeswoman for police in Delta state,Celestina Kalu said. The oil region has been hit by a wave of militant attacks on oil and gas facilities and a general breakdown of law. Militants claimed they are fighting for a greater share of oil revenues for the region. Wife of the Central Bank Governor, Margaret Emefiele was recently kidnapped in the region. She was not released until a ransom of N80million was paid to the gang, the members of which have been busted by a special squad of the Nigerian police and some of the ransom, retrieved.
