Imo Will Miss Gov Rochas Okorocha When He Leaves - Acho Ihim

 The speaker of Imo State House, Rt. Hon. Acho Ihim has refuted the fact that lack of fights in the Assembly means they are inactive, adding that history will remember them as the best having moved and passed 112 motions and 65 bills respectively in two years against the 45 bills that was passed by the last assembly in 4 years. Rt. Hon. Acho Ihim He then hailed the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, saying that he will be missed when he lives office. Hon. Ihim further stated that the fact that they are not fighting with the governor always means they understand that Imolites will suffer when they fight and it will also hamper the good works the governor is doing in the state.

“Nigeria Needs Repackaging Not Restructuring” – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha has called on proprietors and managers of the Radio and Television Stations in the country operating under the aegis of Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) who are meeting in Owerri for their 67 th Annual Conference to help repackage Nigeria for consumption by the rest of the world because that is what is needed now and not restructuring. He also asked them to come up with programmes that could allow the less privileged in the society who cannot afford the high cost of electronic media to also be heard.   Governor Okorocha who made the call while declaring open the 67 th Annual Conference of BON at the Imo Trade and Investment Centre Owerri on Monday, July 17, 2017 said Nigeria needs to be repackaged to attract investors regretting too that only the privileged ones could afford to have access to the services of Radio and Television Stations in the country, while most Nigerians do not have such opportunity.   The BON m...

The governor of Imo State Owelle Rochas Okorocha has said that what the Igbos need now is the Movement for the Economic Survival of Igbo People (MOESIP) and not any movement for the sovereign State of Biafra stating that leaders from other geo-Political Zones supporting the secession movement do not love the Igbos. NLC Condemns Imo Govt’s “3-days Work, 2-days” Farming Policy

  NLC President, Ayuba Wabba The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has condemned in strong terms the Imo Government’s three-day work, two-day farming for workers recently introduced by Governor Rochas Okorocha . NLC President Ayuba Wabba gave this indication while fielding questions at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum on Sunday in Abuja. Wabba said that the policy which implied forcefully sending workers to farm was against the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention and also against the rules and procedures in service. “First, we have condemned in very strong terms what the Imo State governor tries to do by forcefully sending workers to the farm.
