Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu , at a courtesy visit paid to him by the leaders of Igbo Civil Society Coalition  led by Obasi Igwe , has said that he was offered in prison Biafra with only five states. According to Vanguard , Kanu said he rejected the offer, adding that he also wanted Benue and Rivers states. He also claimed to have been offered an oil bloc and a mansion in Dubai, gifts offered to tempt him to abandon the cause of a sovereign Biafra. He said he rejected them both. The IPOB leader said he insisted on the actualization of Biafra, that those things were “Greek gifts.” He said: “They gave me Biafra in Prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers. Biafra is coming, there is nothing to stop it.”

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has written an open letter to the leader of the Indeginous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, asking him to drop his vein sense of Emperorism in the struggle for Biafra. In the letter signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye, the party condemned him for his recent threat that there would be no election in the South East, starting with Anambra whose governorship election is slated in November, if FG does not agree on a referendum for Biafra. Kanu said this in a recent interview with DW Africa (Read  here ). Nnamdi Kanu Finally Leaves Kuje Prison (Photos)

  Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, finally regained his freedom around 6:40pm on Friday after he perfected all the bail conditions that were handed to him by trial Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja. Kanu who arrived the high court premises around 6:20pm in a black Toyota jeep with registration number ABC-46-MU, was formally released to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, a Jewish High Chief Priest, Immanuu-El Shalom and a Chartered Accountant residing in Abuja, Mr. Tochukwu Uchendu. Kanu’s lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor and the three sureties were at the high court registry earlier in the day to sign the necessary bail documents. However, in line with an order of the Judge, the IPOB leader was brought back to the court from Kuje prison to sign and undertaken that he would be available to answer to the five-count charge the Federal Government entered against him.
