Nollywood actress Stephanie Linus is currently in Italy to advocate against human trafficking as it has become more rampant in recent times. In partnership with international medical humanitarian organization – Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and European Organization for the Rescue of Lives in the Mediterranean – SOS Mediterranean, the actress visited the rescue ship Aquarius today. Her visit was a very productive one as her and her team were given a tour of the ship, and afterwards, discussions on the overall need to educate people on the dangers of being trafficked and integrating the rescued victims back into the society followed. She also had a press conference where she spoke about measures that can be used to curb human trafficking, stating that working together, can get the high percentage of human trafficking down drastically and hopefully soon, eliminate this world issue.    Some men of the Nigerian Police Force have been accused of killing Benjamin Wankaa, an event MC and a 300 level Mineral Resources student of Kaduna Polytechnic. According to reports, on Sunday, June 25th, Wankaa popularly known as MC Cedar, and four other occupants including his sister, cousin and friend were stopped by a team of policemen on their way home from a night party, which he anchored.  They identified themselves as a student of the Kaduna Polytechnic, by producing the school ID card. However, four of them were whisked away in a patrol van, leaving behind Benjamin with another patrol team. While still in custody, the police officers informed them that Benjamin escaped from them. The next day, his body was found on the highway with broken hands and legs, an indication that he was probably tortured. A 69-year-old man died of a heart attack while masturbating live on camera on a popular LGBT website. The man who is married to a woman and lives in Eastern Pennsylvania was livestreaming his masturbation to an LGBT audience when he began feeling chest pains and fell unconscious. Following confirmed information about the presence of remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in some villages around Ngala, troops of 3 Battalion, 22 Brigade Nigerian Army , yesterday, Friday 19th May 2017, along with some Civilian JTF embarked on Fighting Patrol to the area. The patrol team had a fierce encounter with the terrorists at Ndufu which they decisively dealt with before proceeding to clear Muktu and Muzuri, as well as nearby communities within the area. Although some of the terrorists fled to various direction on sighting the troops, the patrol team was able to neutralize 9 terrorists, destroyed their Improvised Explosive Device (IED) making factory and rescued 998 persons. Those rescued were 125 at Ndufu, 802 at Muktu and 71 persons at Muzuri. Interestingly, despite the heat of the battle, the troops also vaccinated all children under the age of 5 with Polio vaccinations. A 24-year-old woman is in hospital receiving treatment for an acid burn inflicted on her by her jealous lover over something as simple as sharing the photo of her dog with her ex. 24-year-old Yekaterina M had to endure hours of torture as her boyfriend, Vyatcheslav, poured acid on her, pinned her down then set her on fire in an apartment in Moscow, Russia. It had all started when she took a prank photo of her dog that she co-owned with her ex sitting on the door of the oven. Her current man saw the photo and told her not to share it with her ex, but she did and Vyatcheslav saw the chat, got angry and carried out the brutal attack on her.
