The sight of Nollywood Actress and former Imo State Chapter Chairperson of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Nneoma Ukpabi in a purple gown that pushed up her endowment, caused a huge distraction in the entire Imo International Convention Center IICC, Owerri, Imo State when Imo State Based Artiste League held a comic-gospel show tagged ‘Imo Laff Section’. When the actress who was seated at the VIP section of the hall walked the central isle to and fro, there were cheers and boos, but the light skinned and beautiful actress seemed not to care, adding that those people booing her are ironically appreciating her. Imo Laff Session: Gov. Okorocha To Artistes “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet”

While cutting a surprise birthday cake presented to him by Imo State based artistes, the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha had just a simple line of appreciation, “You ain’t seen nothing yet”. Gov. Okorocha who got the special treat on early hours of Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Imo International Convention Center, few days after his birthday further made a plea to artistes and imolites in general to always love one another. He hailed the efforts of efforts of everyone who came out en masse to grace the event, adding that trends like that will develop the state. Having kicked off a plan to revamp the entertainment industry of the state, the governor then urged Imolites to support and appreciate home based artistes as it is the only way, the industry can grow. Imo Artistes unite to Hold First Ever Gospel Comic Show ‘Imo Laff Session’

In a bid to have all genres of entertainment in Imo State working harmoniously, entertainers have come together under ‘Imo Artistes League’, an organization which is working tireless to take entertainers and entertainment to the next level in the state. Knowing that entertainers are nothing without events, the League has rolled out its first event tagged ‘Imo Laff Session’, a Gospel-Comic event packaged to meet the needs of both the conservative and contemporary entertainment lovers in the state. Speaking ahead of the event scheduled for September 23, 2016, the President of the League and even Facilitator, Hon. Iruno Chukwunonye said the event is being package to kick start a new chapter in the entertainment industry of the state.
